Renault has bounced back from a poor weekend in Austria to get both cars qualified in the top 10 at the British Grand Prix. Nico Hulkenberg qualified 10th and will be looking to fight with the McLarens and Alex Albon's Toro Rosso for a place in the points during tomorrow's race.
Renault looked slow during Friday's practise session but have turned things around for qualifying.
"Just save it for when it matters!" Hulkenberg said to Sky F1. "Who wants to be good on Friday?!
"We've managed to improve the car overnight which made us more competitive today. I'm not entirely happy with qualifying and P10 is always a bit annoying. We will just see what we can do in the race.
"It's usually quite different here and you have to manage your tyres a lot so strategy will definitely be an interesting topic tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it."
The midfield battle is as tight as ever and Renault will be desperate to score some points. They will also hope to get the better of McLaren, a team which they provide the engine for.
"We have a Toro Rosso in the mix too," Hulkenberg said. "Albon is pretty quick here which is very impressive for his first time around here. But McLaren will be the ones we need to look out for and beat."
