This is the new name of the Aston Martin F1 team!

The old Racing Point, which was called the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team until 2023, will have a new name in 2024. The British team will continue as Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team from then on.

This is due to the renewal of the sponsorship deal with Saudi Arabia's state oil company, Aramco. As a result, Aramco will remain Aston Martin's title sponsor. This deal is for five years. The sponsorship deal with Cognizant ends at the end of 2023. The new name will take effect from 1 January 2024.

Aston Martin finished seventh in the 2022 Constructors’ championship but became a team able to get podiums in 2023. They made a huge jump through the winter, and Fernando Alonso was the closest driver to Red Bull in the season's early stages. The likes of McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari caught up with the Silverstone-based team as the season went on, but it was still an impressive feat nonetheless.

Alonso and teammate Lance Stroll hope to be competitive again in 2024.
