New footage shows how far Verstappen deviated from his line to avoid clash

The incident between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton at the British Grand Prix, in which we saw Verstappen suffer the worst crash of his Formula One career, has been the talk of the town for the past week. Interesting new insights about the incident continue to emerge from time to time.

The Instagram account called crashalong_f1 is dedicated to making 3D reconstructions of motorsport accidents, and has done so for the collision between Verstappen and Hamilton.

The interesting thing about this footage is that a comparison is made with the line Verstappen drove during his qualifying lap. This is much tighter compared to the line he took in his fight with Hamilton, where he clearly deviated from the ideal line to make room.
