Mick Schumacher wins his first Formula 3 race

Michael Schumacher's son Mick has won his first race in the European Formula 3 series. He took the maiden victory at Spa, a track which his father achieved his first F1 win.

It has taken Mick Schumacher over a year to win his first race in this formula. The 19-year-old took the chequered flag in difficult conditions.

"I'm really happy with the win," Schumacher Jr said in an interview on gpfans. "I was smiling about the rain - I like wet and drying conditions, the half-half we had today.

Wouldn't it be great to see young Mick rise through the ranks and into F1! He's doing his dad, the 7-time champion, proud!
