Mick Schumacher extended his run of finishing outside of the points to SIX races on Sunday, and the Ferrari Academy driver has admitted it was "hard to swallow" following the weekend's latest setback.
The Prema driver was involved in a collision with his team-mate at the very first turn at Circuit Paul Ricard, and was sent in the air, but Schumacher has insisted there was no maliciousness involved by Sean Gelael.
In the second race, Schumacher unfortunately picked up a puncture and an unknown issue with the rear of his car. This was something that forced him to retire after pitting for fresh tyres.
"In general, this is a hard weekend to swallow," Schumacher said to Autosport. "We were targeted to make a turn-around, and free practice showed we were capable to do so.
"Of course, we cannot change what happened in race one and the technical failure in the rear in race two is also very unfortunate. We knew it was going to be difficult, coming from P17 but obviously, I wasn't expecting to have to retire, so that is a big shame.

"We are not quite sure what happened yet, we have to wait until we have seen all of the details. I guess all we can do now is just to focus on the next race."
