Mick Schumacher wins in Austria to take championship lead!

Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time F1 World Champion Michael, has won in Austria and jumped to the top of the Formula Three standings.

Schumacher Jr has caught the eye of Ferrari in recent times, where his father won five of his seven world titles, and at only 19, he has plenty of time to nurture his talent if he wants to race in the big time in the future.

He took pole and recorded the fastest lap in a dominant performance at the Red Bull Ring to elevate him to the top of the standings.

Schumacher Jr has now overtaken Daniel Ticktum, who could only record P8 in Austria, and now leads by 18 points.

The German driver held on for the win ahead of his Prema Racing team mate Robert Schwartzmann.

This could be a story to keep an eye out for, could we be seeing the famous Schumacher name in F1 again soon?
