Mercedes explains: 'That made for a very unpredictable car'

Mercedes could be partially satisfied after qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix. Whereas Lewis Hamilton grabbed the sixth starting position, George Russell did not get further than 12th place. According to Andrew Shovlin, there is still plenty of work to be done for the German racing stable.

Hamilton already pointed out after qualifying that there were few improvements to be seen in Mercedes' car. The seven-time world champion was satisfied with his final position, but worried about Sunday's race. Shovlin likewise did not seem to be at ease.

At the start, Hamilton has his former teammate Valtteri Bottas in front of him. The Finn set an excellent time with Alfa Romeo. His teammate Guanyu Zhou had more trouble with the track and has to start the race from P17.
