Mercedes called to stewards on Thursday to protest Verstappen decision

The FIA has announced when Mercedes will have to come before the stewards in an attempt to have the case regarding the incident with Max Verstappen reopened. Only then will the stewards decide if there is reason to revisit the case.

At 14:00 UK time a Mercedes representative is expected at the stewards' meeting. The interview will take place by video call as not all stewards will be present in Qatar.

During the interview Mercedes will have to explain the new evidence. This includes onboard footage of Verstappen's car, which according to race director Michael Masi was not included in the original decision.
