Mazepin: "To be honest, I don't care about his name"

Haas F1 Team takes a huge gamble by putting two rookies in its cars in 2021. Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin have to help the team improve. According to Mazepin, Schumacher is under more pressure than he is.

Mazepin will be Russia's fourth Formula 1 driver. The Russian is known for his controversial actions on and off the track.

Together with Mick Schumacher, son of Michael Schumacher, he will form the team of drivers at Haas. "He's under more pressure," Mazepin says about his teammate on Russian Match TV. The two have already been teammates in karts in 2013 and 2014.

"To be honest, I don't care about his name. We are not friends, but I can call us acquaintances. We drove in karts together. The surname adds both strength and problems in terms of pressure and attention. But when you close the visor of your helmet, there's no time to think about it", concludes Mazepin.
