Verstappen shrugs off boos: 'I come to win'

During Max Verstappen's attendance for the Miami Grand Prix and during the podium ceremony, when the Red Bull Racing driver received his trophy for victory, boos rang out from the crowd. Verstappen shrugged.

At the FIA press conference after the Miami GP, Verstappen addresses the boos from the crowd in America. The Dutchman was not the crowd favourite in Miami, and the crowd showed that. Verstappen can't lose sleep over it and lets them know that too.

Verstappen: "If I’m driving in the back, nobody would be doing anything in terms of reaction. I think it’s normal when you are winning, and they don’t like who is winning. So, this is something for me which is absolutely fine as long as I stand on the top. That’s the most important. I’ll take the trophy home, and they go back to their houses, and they can have a nice evening.”
