Max Verstappen optimistic about chances of title challenge in 2020

Max Verstappen believes there is a 50/50 chance he can help his side mount a serious title challenge next season. Verstappen is still just 22-years-old but has already made a strong impression, winning 8 races to date in his career.

He has performed well this season, winning three races and stands third in the drivers' standings going into the final race of the season this weekend.

"We learned a lot throughout the whole season," Verstappen told Sky Sports News.

"What went well and what we did wrong or didn't do so well.

"We'll try to work over the winter, of course, to try and make everything better, the whole package. "I think we can really transform that into an early start next year. That's at least the target.

"You never know, so it's 50-50. It's yes or no."
