Max Verstappen has reiterated that he feels he doesn't need to change his driving style in Formula 1. He also highlighted how the two friends are fighting for a Formula 1 World Championship rather than having a relaxed battle.

Verstappen on Norris: 'It's a championship, not a lap around the church'

Norris was asked after the Formula 1 race in Mexico City whether he should not drive more aggressively. The British driver replied by saying that it is Verstappen who needs to make adjustments and said: "I hope Max acknowledges that he took it a step too far."
Speaking to Viaplay, Verstappen had a clear message to Norris. "Three-time world champion," he said while holding up three fingers. "I don't have to change anything. But why would I change my driving style? I know very well what I can and cannot do. Or am allowed to do. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. And sometimes you just have to lose."
Asked about his friendship with Norris off track, Verstappen responded. "Yes, but I think he also understands that we are fighting for a championship and not a lap around the church," said the reigning world champion.
