Over the course of his eight seasons in Formula 1, Max Verstappen has accumulated 63 wins. Only two other people outrank him: Michael Schumacher with 91 and Lewis Hamilton with 105. Verstappen is also on his way to collecting more world titles after this historic year, when he joined only five other drivers to ever win four world titles consecutively.
But does Verstappen pay attention to the conversation surrounding him? "To be honest, I don't care, I'm very happy with what I'm doing now. In the end, that's a debate; there are a lot of different opinions, so for me, that doesn't matter. I just want to have fun and of course, try to win everything I can."

Verstappen does not buy into the 'GOAT' title

The four-time world title champion himself does not believe in a "greatest of all time" title. "It's very difficult to say; there are different eras with different cars. I never like to name a person in particular because I can hear that there have always been many great drivers."
Only three drivers outrank Verstappen when it comes to world championships. Juan Manuel Fangio has five, while Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are tied with seven. Verstappen is signed to Red Bull Racing until 2028, so in theory, he could break the record for most championship titles ever.

However, the 2024 season left fans with a taste for more. The fight between Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari was intense and is expected to only get more heated. With big regulation changes happening in 2026, the ten F1 teams are going to be fighting their hardest this upcoming season.
