Magnussen's confidence "helps" consistency

Haas F1 team boss Guenther Steiner thinks that Kevin Magnussen's consistently good driving is a product of his growing confidence, as the Dane finished with back-to-back points finishes in Bahrain and China for the first time since 2014
That could've been three times in a row too, it wouldn't have been for the pit stop blunder Haas had in Melbourne when K-Mag's wheel wasn't properly attached, forcing him to retire from the race.
"I think the trend started last year," Steiner said about Magnussen's growing confidence levels.
"It's a personal confidence that he trusts the team, he trusts himself.
With the ups and downs of his career, he sometimes lost a bit of confidence and it started to come back last year.

"This year, starting with a competitive car, that gave him that click where he's a lot more confident than he was before."
K-Mag has certainly been thriving with the new and improved Haas car compared to his teammate Romain Grosjean, as the Dane is both out-qualifying and outperforming his French teammate.
