Ferrari had a difficult 2025 season, finishing without a Grand Prix victory. The team of Charles Leclerc and Hamilton hopes to bounce back this season, and they have a good chance of doing so thanks to the new regulations introduced in Formula 1.
During the final day of testing, the Monegasque driver also managed to set the fastest lap time of the pre-season.

Ecclestone, the former F1 Supremo, hopes that the Scuderia could be in the title battle this year.
Speaking to sport.de, he explained: "Keep an eye on Ferrari! I hope Ferrari has a say in the matter. Formula 1 would benefit greatly if Ferrari became world champion.
"You can tell he doesn't want to give up, doesn't want to quit without having achieved it. Maybe it will work out this year. That would be a great story."

Ecclestone critical of the new F1 regulations

The new Formula 1 cars already received criticism, having previously been described as 'Formula E on steroids' by Max Verstappen. The former F1 Supremo also warned that the competition could end up losing fans, but hopes he is wrong.
