Lewis Hamilton is working on what could be one of the most expensive films of all time. Brad Pitt's Formula One film, which has been seen filming at Silverstone and Imola, is rumoured to be one of the most expensive films ever produced but Hamilton has dismissed those claims.
The film, which has no release date or title yet, has reportedly already exceeded $300 million (£240 million). However, ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix Hamilton denied this, only saying "It's inaccurate".

What is known about the film?

In the film, Brad Pitt plays a veteran driver who comes out of retirement to mentor a young prodigy. As the F1 circus arrived at Silverstone in 2023, more details were revealed. Brad Pitt's team will be called Apex GP, with Pitt playing a character called Sonny Hayes. Joshua Pearce will be Hayes' teammate at the team, powered by Mercedes.
During that F1 race weekend, Pitt drove on the circuit to film some scenes for the movie. Mercedes had a converted Formula 2 car. Pitt won't be allowed onto the track during any sessions and there will be no other competition cars on the circuit at that time.

The seven-time world champion was initially set to make his acting debut in Top Gun: Maverick, but unfortunately missed out on his first on-screen performance due to his hectic racing schedule: "I remember having to tell Joe (Kosinski) and Tom - and it broke my heart," Hamilton told GQ.
