Rain is on the way in Canada and that means a lot of surprises could happen. Max Verstappen indicated earlier that he did not care if there was precipitation, but Charles Leclerc has a preference.
Rain is most likely on Friday, but a wet track is all but ruled out on qualifying and race days as well. It is generally known that rain before or during a Formula 1 race can make a big difference in how the result will shape up.

What kind of weather is Leclerc hoping for in Canada?

So while a number of drivers don't really care whether there is rain or not in Montreal, Leclerc has an opinion on this: "Probably wet quali and dry race, because the wet race is always tricky with the strategy."
The Monegasque continued: "You can be on the lucky side or the unlucky side because you can never really control the weather and you are not 100% sure of what's happening. So you can take gambles and it gives quite a bit more unpredictability, where rain quali is the same for everybody, everybody is pushing flat out. And this is cool so probably more rain quali and dry race."
