Can Ferrari wipe the floor with Red Bull? 'I hope as soon as possible'

Charles Leclerc says he finally hopes to offer Red Bull Racing sides next weekend. Ferrari has made a medium- and long-term plan. When Leclerc or Carlos Sainz can actually wipe the floor with Red Bull remains to be seen.

"Then the question is, when can we compete with Red Bull? And I don't have the answer yet, but I hope as soon as possible," Leclerc told Sky Sports. "I think in terms of set-up we have understood some more things. Whether this will be enough to fight with Red Bull, I don't think," he added.

Leclerc also speaks out about the loss of transfer car driver Laurent Mekies. "He was definitely one of the good guys, but I think everyone respects his choice. He was given a big opportunity at AlphaTauri that he had to take and we understand that." The Ferrari driver says he is not too worried because, according to him, the team does not depend on one person.
