While there are rumours floating around of a new track being developed in Qiddiyah, Charles Leclerc says he likes the current track in Jeddah. To GPBlog and others, he spoke about how much of a challenge it was.
When asked if he thought visibility on track was an issue and if it maybe it more dangerous or exciting he responded, “It's one of my favorite track of the season. I always loved city tracks in general. It's always a challenge that I enjoyed and especially with the high speed it's really really cool.”

'Limited freedom to improve'

He continued, “There have been some changes that I think made it better. It's still, if you've got to rank the track in terms of dangerousness, of course it's one of those that is a very, very challenging track as a driver and the bravery on the fast lap can make a difference.”
On Friday, during the second free practice, Alex Albon had to use his quick reflexes to avoid a collision with Leclerc’s teammate, Lewis Hamilton. At the time, Albon said the situation was “dangerous”.

Leclerc admitted, “This is a challenge I like, then of course, safety is something that we always need to keep in mind and try to improve.”
“I feel like some tracks, you have a limited freedom of improving it, and on a track like this, where walls are so close and where the speed is so high, there's always going to be some kind of danger to it.”
Leclerc also mentioned his home race, the Monaco Grand Prix, of being similar.
“Like Monaco, by example, can be dangerous in some places. I don't know how much freedom do the track have to make it better.”
