Fernando Alonso has revealed that winning this years Le Mans 24 Hour race is his main goal for this year.
This weekend the Spaniard will contest the 6 Hours of Spa race as an official Toyota driver in a full World Endurance Championship alongside his Formula One commitments.
“My priority is to live the Le Mans experience. A huge race,” he said.
“I don’t think I can save my F1 season but I have this opportunity to take part in Le Mans and I don’t intend on wasting my chance.”
If Alonso were to win in Le Mans, he will have two parts of the triple crown, having already won F1's Monaco Grand Prix.
Alonso attempted the third leg of the triple crown at last years Indy 500, but engine failure derailed his chances.
