Sporting director of Zandvoort Jan Lammers looks back on a great Dutch Grand Prix. Lammers calls the return of Zandvoort to the calendar a great success and only wants to improve in the future.

Zandvoort gets praise

Toto Wolff said earlier that Zandvoort has set a new benchmark for other Grands Prix. A statement that Lammer is very happy with: "How much nicer a compliment can you get than from someone with his status. It is something we are very proud of. It's like being a Formula 1 driver and winning your debut race from pole position in Monaco," said the former F1 driver at Ziggo Sport.
"We are Dutch ourselves, but I love those people so much. Look what a party they are building! I've been running back and forth here frequently during the race as well. This event goes so much further than the initiative of Bernard and one individual. This really is a party by orange, for orange", continues Lammers.

Good is not yet good enough

"I had a tear in my eye. That was a bit like game, set and match. How much better can it get? Max winning from pole position, just big smiles on the way there and back, the mobility plan worked," the Dutchman continued.
"In the future we are going to improve, because if you are going to organise an event of this stature then you just have to conform that it fits in with society," Lammers concludes.
