Jos - Ricciardo "irritated" Max with pole celebrations

Surely Daniel Ricciardo can’t be blamed for celebrating his pole position at the Mexican GP in the way he did considering his terrible run of form in F1, but Max Verstappen’s father Jos says that the Australian’s jubilation “irritated” the young Dutchman.
After dominating practice, Verstappen was the favourite to claim pole position and become the youngest pole sitter in the history of the sport, but it was not to be, as his departing team mate pipped him by 0.026 seconds at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
To become F1’s youngest pole sitter, Verstappen needs to start a race from P1 during the final two races, otherwise he will miss out on Sebastian Vettel’s record, set at the 2008 Italian Grand Prix when driving for Toro Rosso.
Jos revealed that his son was wound up by Ricciardo’s post qualifying antics.
He revealed: “He was irritated because he missed out on pole and because of the car, but also because of Ricciardo’s exuberance celebrating pole.

“So he was really agitated and he only wanted one thing - to win that race.”
And he did win the race, of course, recording his fifth in Formula One and second of the season.
