Hulkenberg after Verstappen's mistakes: ''Something like this can happen''

Nico Hulkenberg still hopes to get the seat next to Max Verstappen for 2021 and therefore looks with great interest at the achievements of the Dutchman. This weekend it all went a bit wrong, however.

''Ah, such a thing can happen. Certainly in that bend in which it runs a little downwards. At the beginning of the race everything looked good for Max, but after that spin he got into the frenzy. The race actually slipped through his fingers," the German says to ServusTV.

Hulkenberg also heard the arguments about the wrong set-up, but also realised that Verstappen could have done other things as well. ''There were some reports today that his front wing was out of order, although it is always difficult to say anything about it. I think if he takes a bit of a distance, he'll see for himself that he might have been able to do certain things better in the beginning," concludes the man who is still waiting for his first podium in Formula 1.
