Christian Horner thinks that Max Verstappen's retirement was caused by a fuel problem. The Dutchman was clearly frustrated after the race. The Red Bull team boss understands his frustration.
Verstappen loses a lot of points again this weekend. Also during the Bahrain Grand Prix, the Dutchman retired, which means that he is now a long way behind in the championship. Horner tells Sky Sports more about his driver's problem.
"It's understandable his frustration. That was a disappointing result not to finish the race. I don't think it's engine related, I think it might be a fuel issue. Until we get the car back we don't have the data or info."
Red Bull must wait and see
Throughout the race, the Red Bulls did not come close to Charles Leclerc's Ferrari. The Monegasque drove a dominant race and Verstappen was therefore unable to keep up with his pace. Still, a P2 could have limited the damage.

"We didn't have the pace to race Charles, but frustrating not to bank those points. I don't think it's related, it's all premature until we get the car back. I'd rather know the facts. We have things in the pipeline that will help, we move back to Europe now and put this behind us. Address it and move on."
