The race weekend in Las Vegas is over. There has been much criticism of the Grand Prix in the 'party city' beforehand. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner tells Speedcafe.com that he still sees room for improvement.
The temperatures in which racing took place, the huge show surrounding the Grand Prix, or the water valve cover that came off during the first free practice: many people had something to complain about the spectacle in Las Vegas. Max Verstappen was also highly critical. For instance, he was not happy with the timing of the Grand Prix.

Horner pinpoints the problem of Las Vegas GP

Horner says it was a great event and that he is impressed by the interest in the event, but he also agrees with Verstappen's criticism: "I think one of the things we look at is the running schedule because it’s been brutal for the team, and all the men and women behind the scenes. I think everybody’s leaving Vegas slightly f***ed."
According to Horner, next year the organisers need to be more mindful of the times in the United States: "We need to look at how we can improve that for the future. We’re running so late at night, so maybe we run it a little earlier in the evening. You’re never going to keep every television audience totally happy. This is an American race, so if you run at eight o’clock in the evening, or something like that, it would just be a bit more comfortable for all.”
