Horner on 2019 regulations: “I don’t think anything will change”

The biggest change made is to the aerodynamics of the cars. The front wings have been simplified and made bigger, as well as the rear wing being made wider and higher, to help with the ability of the cars to follow in a slipstream through turbulent air produced by the car in front.

Horner however believes that it has been a mistake to make these changes when speaking to Speed Week.

Horner said: “I don't think anything will change. Based on the data and the simulations, we recognise that the car dynamics are different in some parts of the circuits.

Horner also said that it’s not just him that feels this way and that ‘all the teams would agree’ that the change wasn’t the solution.

"Mercedes and Ferrari made a strong case for these changes and unfortunately they were approved,” Horner said.
