Horner blames wrong channel for Ralf Schumacher statements

Rumours abound about a power struggle at Red Bull. Christian Horner is said to want more power within the team and would do his best to push Helmut Marko out. Ralf Schumacher stated to the German branch of Sky Sports that Max Verstappen would not tolerate a Marko resignation and that he would prefer to see Marko leave. Horner has since responded but made a mistake with his response.

The unrest within the team has been denied by many key people within Red Bull. Verstappen has already said that the rumours were "bulls***", and Horner has also revealed that he is fully behind Marko. The Red Bull team boss was not happy with Ralf Schumacher's statements to Sky Sports but blamed the wrong channel in the process. Indeed, according to the team boss, the statement was made to ServusTV, but that channel had nothing to do with it. Horner even contacted ServusTV

Red Bull denies the power struggle rumours in any case. Still, it remains to be seen what happens within the team. Schumacher said to Autobild: "Maybe in the winter we will see some personnel surprises at Red Bull."
