Marko amazed by Verstappen and Lambiase: 'Like actors with a script!'

The Australian Grand Prix was quite a challenging one for the drivers. However, according to Helmut Marko, Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing managed to handle the situation well, and shared his goal by when they want to match McLaren's performance.

There were multiple crossover periods at the 2025 Australian GP. First, the track tried up, but heavy rain arrived once again later on. Verstappen only locked up once throughout the day, but remained perfect otherwise and in the end, he just finished behind Lando Norris.

"They are like actors, as if they have been given a script and know exactly what to say," Marko praised the communication between Verstappen and 'GP' Gianpiero Lambiase to De Telegraaf. According to the Red Bull advisor, the two were in synch once again, moreover, the four-time world champion has the quality to communicate clearly regardless of the circumstances.

Many point to the difference between the McLaren and Red Bull being tyre management in this moment in time. The top advisor revealed that the team is working to solve this. "We hope to have closed the gap with them in a maximum of five races," Marko shared his prediction by when he thinks the two teams can be on level terms.
