Hamilton shows the world what he has been up to in recent months

For months the motorsport world had to wait for a first reaction from Lewis Hamilton after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. After a brief statement on February 5 that he is back, today he shows what he has been up to these past few months.

"I was away. Now I'm back," a short but powerful statement that Hamilton shared on Twitter and Instagram a few days ago. Rumors are already circulating that the seven-time world champion has since been to his team Mercedes to try on his seat.

Before this rumor is confirmed, Hamilton at least said that he had a happy time with family and friends. In particular, he has spent a lot of time with cousins, but of course had taken time off to get knighted in the UK.

Although there has still been no official statement that Hamilton will be crawling back into the Mercedes in 2022, it has every appearance of doing so. The Briton can take his eighth world title this season, an absolute record. To do so, however, he must be able to hold off reigning world champion Max Verstappen.
