Lewis Hamilton says that bump didn't cause the car failure that forced him stoppage in Q1.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton says that the bump he ran over didn't have an impact on the hydraulic fault which forced him out of Qualifying.
Hamilton ran wide over a kerb which jolted his car, before his car came to an abrupt stop.
The Brit was asked if this had an impact, and he told Sky Sports F1: "No, I think it failed before then."
Hamilton will start in 14th tomorrow, whilst his fierce rival Sebastian Vettel managed pole position.

He has "no idea" where he might be able to recover to, like he did at Silverstone.
The World Champion admitted that his hopes are over regarding coming back to win the race tomorrow.
"No, especially not on this track," Hamilton said.
"This track is one of the worst for overtaking.
"It definitely was a tough one. But these things happen and all you can do is gather your thoughts and (take) any of the negative energy and out it towards trying to do your best the next day. Live to fight another day. Another opportunity to rise.

"I'll give everything tomorrow to see how high I can get up. But it's not going to be like Silverstone.
"I'm sure I'll be able to get through to some point but to where, I don't know."
