During his Formula 1 career, Lewis Hamilton does not only focus on his achievements, as he also deals with other topics. For instance, he pays close attention to inequality and diversity. In conversation with The New York Times he addresses those struggles.
It is not always easy for the Brit to battle it out. Indeed, Hamilton has frequently felt that he cannot do enough on his own. Despite this, he persists in standing up for others.
"There are days where I don’t feel like I’m doing enough, days where I don’t feel like I’ve got to do more, and then there are days where I feel like I’m failing people because the problem is everywhere. It’s far bigger than me," he discusses the situation.
Hamilton gets plenty of positive feedback on his work done, however, which gives him plenty of energy to continue his fight. "I just have to keep reminding myself to stay on course, to keep doing what I’m doing," Hamilton finishes.
