Hamilton goes even faster as he tries another new sport!

Lewis Hamilton has been busy during the offseason. The world champion has been training as usual, with surfing mixed in! But now he's taken it up a notch and has earned his sky diving licence!

Moving faster than a Formula 1 car, the Mercedes driver posted a picture of himself on Instagram doing a solo skydive.

Hamilton quoted: "Got my skydiving license - the feeling of free fall is incredible. Surfing and skydiving in the same day is the ultimate day for me. Have you skydived yet? If not, put the fear aside and go - #freedom"

Hamilton doesn't have long left to come down to the ground. He'll fire up his new Silver Arrow at Silverstone on February 13th before moving to Barcelona as testing begins on the 18th.

Maybe he'll skydive into the paddock next season? The BBC tried it in 2014 for the British Grand Prix, but unfortunately, they had to get a stunt double!
