A passionate Lewis Hamilton was positive about how the first day went him in Monaco. The Ferrari driver was not only happy to drive on the Monte-Carlo circuit, but also explained he is so far happy with the SF-25 as well.

Hamilton 'feels privileged' to drive a F1 car in Monaco

The seven-time world champion was over the moon to have the chance to drive in the Principality once again. "Every year is such a blast. It doesn't matter what car you're in, of course it helps when you're in a car that feels good and is quick, but with the grip, the speed, it's narrow, it's fast, it's the best rollercoaster ride of the year. It's such a privilege, we're one of 20 drivers that get to drive this track. This morning I was like... I texted Ellen, who's been my assistant for like 20 years, and I texted her and I was like, ‘I can't believe I'm still so lucky to be able to do this every year’ and I was so excited for the day," he told F1 TV.
Especially during the second session of the day, Hamilton could show his pace. "FP1 was a little bit of a challenge, traffic and everything. FP2 was much better, got a little bit of time to find, Charles is very quick. But otherwise, it was a good session."

What does Hamilton want to change for Saturday?

The most important qualifying will take place this Saturday in Monaco. Looking ahead, Hamilton talked about where he needs to improve still, and what changes he would like to see on his car.
"I would say there's more to find in my driving, in lines, in braking. I've got one tenth for example into Turn 1, but there's bits here and there throughout the lap."
He concluded: "But then the car, there are the subtle changes that are needed to make, so I will not be making many changes at all. We might change one small thing, like a bit of a tiny, quarter of a degree of camber or something like that, but maximum I think that would be it."
