After Haas were disqualified after qualifying due to a DRS slot that was too large, the team announced that they would start the Monaco Grand Prix from the pit lane. Now, the team is returning to the grid at the back.
After qualifying in Monaco, the Haas cars had not passed the technical inspection. The DRS slot can only be 85 millimeters and Haas's was wider. Nico Hulkenberg qualified in twelfth place. Kevin Magnussen in fifteenth place.

Haas simply starts from the grid

The team initially thought it would have to start the race from the pit lane due to the disqualification. This turned out not to be the case after the announcement of the FIA's provisional starting grid. The two Haas drivers were simply assigned to the grid. Hulkenberg and Magnussen will therefore start the Grand Prix from nineteenth and twentieth places.

In Monaco this disqualification has disastrous consequences. Overtaking is almost impossible in the narrow streets of Monte Carlo. Due to the disqualification of the Haas drivers, Sergio Perez, together with many other drivers, moves up a few spots. The Mexican will not start the Grand Prix from eighteenth place, but from sixteenth place.
