Haas says they will soon announce who their new drivers will be. The team have been waiting with the announcement for some time after Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen were told they can leave.
There have been rumours for a long time about who will be driving the American Haas car. Sergio Perez was associated with the team, but there were also rumours that Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher will drive for team boss Guenther Steiner next year.

"We're not ready yet"

Steiner now tells Racer that it will soon become clear who will drive for his team. They have made a decision. "We know which way we are going and we will announce it soon. We are just not ready for that now. There are certain reasons, but I would prefer not to go into them. When we are ready, we will tell them, we are not in a hurry, to be honest".
Haas has only replaced a driver once in the five years that he has been in the sport. Magnussen replaced Esteban Gutierrez after 2016. "It is a new challenge for us. Everything new is interesting. I do like challenges and I like the whole process involved. It was time-consuming and especially mentally it was an attack, but in the end, you want what is best for the team", says Steiner.
