Romain Grosjean returns to his statements about the future of the Haas F1 team. He apologizes to his employer because the Frenchman said that the future of the American team in Formula 1 is doubtful.

Wrong saying of Grosjean

Grosjean has a contract until the end of the year. When asked if his contract would be extended at the end of the year, the driver suggested that it is not even certain that Haas will be on the grid next season.
Haas team boss Guenther Steiner reacted to these statements and said that it is not right for a driver to make statements about such matters. Grosjean in turn responded and said it wouldn't be another drama for the Netflix series F1, Drive to Survive.
"I’m sorry if I said anything wrong. I didn't want to create anything. So, no, there’s no Netflix episodes, there is no problem. I said something that I shouldn’t have said, and then... you know I’m sorry for the team. And all good" says Grosjean to Motorsport.com.

Reaction Steiner

Steiner says he was particularly surprised by Grosjean's comments: "I mean, I was never upset about it. You know me. I react to something and I get over things pretty quick. I mean, I’m not upset. It was just like... I was amazed when I read it, because I wasn’t there obviously."
Steiner continues his story by saying that he and Grosjean have no further problems. The team boss thinks Grosjean answered the difficult question the wrong way and he didn't mean what he said.
