Romain Grosjean has had a torrid season in F1 so far, failing to score points in the first seven races despite having a competitive car beneath him. However, the French driver sees light at the end of the tunnel since the update that came in ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix.
“From the first lap in FP1, I knew it was going to be fast,” said Grosjean.
Despite his best finish of the season in Canada, it was not enough for Grosjean to pick up any points, only managing 12th place.
A positive for his thoughts though, he did beat his team mate Kevin Magnussen, who has scored 19 points in the seven races so far.
Grosjean believes that he could soon break his duck and fortune could favour him in the upcoming races.

“It’s not a disaster, it’s just a lot of bad luck,” he explained. “But the car is fast, the team is improving and growing.
“The upgrade is working well; the results are not what we were expecting or what we could have – but I always try and see the positive.”
Grosjean is certainly positive about the upgrade, saying: “It’s the best one. It’s the biggest and best one.”
