Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Shwartzman will be in action as Ferrari's reserve drivers in 2023. This reports Autosport.com. The two drivers will share the role due to Giovinazzi's WEC commitments.

On Tuesday, Giovinazzi was already announced as part of Ferrari's Hypercar team for the World Endurance Championship. The Italian will therefore focus mainly on WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but he will also remain active as Ferrari's reserve driver. In 2022, he also fulfilled this role after losing his seat at Alfa Romeo at the end of 2021.
As four of the seven rounds in WEC coincide with Grand Prix weekends in Formula 1, Shwartzman will also act as the Italian team's reserve driver for a number of races. The young driver made several appearances for Ferrari in 2022 as the team's test and development driver. Shwartzman has not yet announced his further plans for the new year. He recently tested in IndyCar with Chip Ganassi Racing at Sebring.
Also at Aston Martin, reserve driver duties are split between two drivers, Felipe Drugovich and Stoffel Vandoorne. Other familiar names are Mick Schumacher at Mercedes and Daniel Ricciardo at Red Bull Racing.
