George Russell was set to take part in the FIA drivers' post-Miami Grand Prix press conference. However, the British driver has decided to skip it due to 'medical reasons'.
Russell managed to turn his Miami GP weekend around with a solid, yet discreet P3, after being beaten by teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli across the majority of the sprint weekend in Florida.
However, the lead Mercedes driver is not taking part in the FIA-post race press conference, due to 'medical reasons'.

Russell feels like 'there's a baby inside me'

Speaking to Viaplay Russell shed a bit more light on his current medical status, and it's mostly to due with the consequences of the stiffness of his W16 in the latter part of the race.

"The car was really stiff, and the last 15 laps I got a really bad stomach cramp so now suddenly trying to stand tall I feel likes there's a baby inside of me. I don't know what it is, but... I feel okay, but I just can't stand up. Like, my stomach is cramping."
GPblog has since reached out to Mercedes for clarification on Russell's condition. According to the German team, the British driver is okay, he was only suffering from bad post-race stomach cramps.
