Gasly: 'This was the most exciting season I've experienced'

Halfway through last season Pierre Gasly's F1 career seemed took a blow after he was dropped by Red Bull. However, after his demotion to AlphaTauri, the Frenchman recovered miraculously. The 2020 season itself was somewhat his second breakthrough.

With a victory and ten points finishes he finished tenth in the championship. That may be a little lower than in 2019, but this time he outperformed his equipment, where last season at Red Bull Racing he did the opposite. He enjoyed it enormously.

"It was the most exciting season I experienced in Formula 1, based on the fact that midfield was very, very exciting all year round," he is quoted by Motorsport-Total.com. Although he admitted that there is always room for improvement. That is not only a goal for himself, but also for the team.

"Yes, we missed a few chances to score points this year. Sometimes we just didn't have the pace. But in the end we have to be very consistent and always try to be in the top 10 so that we can fight for an even better position in the championship next year," said Gasly.
