Pierre Gasly is keen to bounce back at the Bahrain Grand Prix following a disappointing opening weekend in Melbourne which saw him finish outside the points on his Red Bull debut.
The French driver was beaten by Daniil Kvyat to the final points finish as the Toro Rosso held him off to secure tenth place. It was a bad weekend for Gasly from start to finish as he failed to make it out of Q1 whilst his teammate Max Verstappen came third.
Despite a tough start Gasly finished fourth in Bahrain in 2018 in a Toro Rosso and will be looking for a similar performance in a better car.
"Bahrain is one of my favourite races, I had my best result in Formula 1 there last year with a fourth place, so for me, Bahrain is very exciting, there is a lot of positive energy,” Gasly said in an interview on f1only.
"I can not wait to come back here, this time with Red Bull, especially after a complicated weekend in Melbourne.

"We could see that our car was competitive and I like the Bahrain circuit, so I can not wait to get back in the car and get to work.”
