Full results FP2: Verstappen fastest with small gap to Mercedes

After Max Verstappen finished second behind Valtteri Bottas in the first free practice, the Dutchman set the fastest time in the second practice. However, he ended the practice with a crash in the last minutes.

Verstappen set a time of 1:44.472 on the soft tyre. The gap to Mercedes was very small. Valtteri Bottas followed in second place, followed by Lewis Hamilton. The top three are less than one-tenth from each other. This promises to be an exciting day tomorrow!

Fernando Alonso finished fourth and teammate Esteban Ocon also did well with seventh place. Pierre Gasly is doing well for AlphaTauri with a fifth place. Ferrari disappointed today with a crash for Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz just outside the top ten.
