Full results FP3 United States | Verstappen drives away from the rest

The third and final free practice session of the race weekend in Austin is over. Max Verstappen was the fastest man at the windy Circuit of the Americas, followed by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Verstappen dipped well below Leclerc's fastest time in the final moments of the session, driving over three tenths away from the rest. Behind Leclerc, we find Sainz in third place, followed by Sergio Perez.

Lewis Hamilton also had a reasonable session: the Mercedes driver was only a few thousandths short of Perez's time. His teammate George Russell had a significantly harder time and had to concede seven tenths to Hamilton. Furthermore, Aston Martin also came out strong with eighth and ninth times for Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll respectively.
