As if the French Grand Prix wasn't exciting enough already this afternoon, with Max Verstappen's pole position and the higher air pressure in the Pirelli tyres, now a thunderstorm warning is added to it.
According to weather medium Meteo-France there could be thunderstorms over the Paul Ricard circuit this afternoon. On the website a warning is issued: "Moderate thunderstorms. Although quite common in the region, local and potentially dangerous phenomena are expected."
Earlier in the weekend precipitation was also predicted, but thunderstorms played no part then. According to Meteo-France summer thunderstorms and heavy wind gusts can be expected over the circuit.

Rain at Paul Ricard

At the moment it is already raining on the circuit in the south of France, according to sports journalist Erik van Haren on Twitter. There is a chance that all precipitation has already fallen before 14:00 this afternoon, but we soon find out.
