Kimi Antonelli could achieve a major milestone at the Canadian Grand Prix: the Italian driver finished on the podium behind George Russell and Max Verstappen. Today however, the youngster was back in Italy not only to celebrate, but also to do his final exams.
Kimi Antonelli became only the third teenager to score a podium in Formula 1 after only Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll. He is also the first Italian to finish inside the Top 3 since Jarno Trulli did back in 2009.
The Italian young talent now has to focus on achieving another milestone: completing his final exams in Bologna.
"It went well! It wasn't easy, I tried to do my best and now I'm waiting for the result," he told La Repubblica, after today he did his Italian exam.
"I was quite nervous for today because I didn't have much time to prepare, but I have to say that I did my best and I think it went pretty well," he continued.

How did Antonelli prepare for his exam?

Leading up to the exam the night before, Antonelli spent time with his friends. "We were all at my house and we went back and forth a bit together and then we listened to the song the night before the exams. But yes, let's say it was a good time, especially after the Canada weekend, to spend some time together."
The 'Maturità' is the Italian high school diploma, and tomorrow, he will have his English written test up next, the subject he calls his favourite.
"I'm much more relaxed about it, but I will study a little bit because even if I'm only English I still have to be prepared. For the oral exam, I'm trying to do all the possible connections, because even though I'm a bit behind with the program, it's hard to study everything. So I'm trying to study as much as possible and try to make as many connections as possible, so that I can be ready," he concluded.
