First problems for Red Bull with Perez gearbox

After an almost problem-free Wednesday for Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing is facing its first problems today. Sergio Perez had to park his Red Bull on the track during the morning session.

The problem caused the first red flag during the winter test days in Barcelona. Perez had completed forty laps before his car stalled. Red Bull was immediately on its way to cover the car, preventing competitors from getting a detailed view of the RB18.

The Mexican had fortunately not crashed, but the car had stalled on the track coming out of turn thirteen. Erik van Haren reports on Twitter that there was a problem with Perez's gearbox, but that it has now been fixed. So we can expect Perez back on track during the afternoon session.
