Final starting grid GP Belgium | Russell on P2, many penalties given

After the qualifying session of the Belgian Grand Prix, there was still a lot of shuffling around when it came to the final grid. Valtteri Bottas and Lance Stroll still had five places on the grid due to crashes they caused in Hungary and Lando Norris needed a new gearbox after his heavy crash in qualifying.

Bottas already had a poor qualifying performance and his accident in Hungary will force him to move back another five places. The same goes for Stroll. Bottas will start from twelfth and Stroll from nineteenth. Kimi Raikkonen will start from the pit lane.

Norris also received a five-place penalty. The young Briton was very fast in qualifying and seemed to be fighting for his first pole position. Unfortunately, it went very differently. Norris lost his McLaren on the climb to Radillon and ended up crashing into the wall. His gearbox was so badly damaged that he had to put in a new one and was given a five-place penalty.
