FIA Reprimands Stroll Struggling with Hand Injury

Drivers are required to weigh themselves in Parc Fermé after each official session, before they join their team or have a drink. However, Stroll did not do this after Q2 in Barcelona. The stewards then summoned the Canadian, but before that they were told that this could not go ahead due to medical circumstances.

A doctor and Stroll himself then informed the stewards of his physical problems. The FIA ​​states that the health of a driver always comes first. The FIA ​​has now confirmed that permission has been granted to withdraw car number eighteen for this race. Aston Martin is not allowed to appoint a replacement for Stroll for this race.
