FIA clarifies rules regarding pit entry and exit after Ferrari protest

Ferrari threw away a possible double victory in Monaco but afterwards attempted to pull the race to its feet by lodging a protest against both Red Bull Racing drivers. Both protests were rejected by the FIA, but race director Niels Wittich does come out with a clarification of the rules in Baku.

Ferrari's protests were declared unfounded, but Wittich saw fit to clarify the rules for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix once again. In the Event Notes, which note what competitors should pay attention to before each race weekend, reference is made to the rules regarding entering and exiting the pit lane.

The document mentions a point regarding the "lines at the Pit Entry and Pit Exit". "In accordance with Chapter 4, Article 4 and 5 of Appendix L of the ISC, drivers must follow the procedures at pit entry and pit exit," the clarification reads.
