'Great annoyance in F1 over Ben Sulayem proposal': Here's what's going on

Teams in Formula 1 are worried, now that it has been leaked, that the FIA is planning to limit its ability to hold the federation's leadership accountable says Sky Sports News.
The FIA has an ethics committee that reviews and assesses whether things that have taken place within the organisation are morally and ethically unacceptable. This committee operates autonomously. However, there is a proposal - to be voted on after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - for the ultimate decision on whether or not to investigate possible wrongdoing to be made, among others, by FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
So in the event that there would be a complaint against this same Ben Sulayem, he would have to judge whether it would actually be dealt with. Just last week, it came out that Ben Sulayem had allegedly not billed his claims correctly.

F1 concerned about Ben Sulayem's action

Sky Sports News has learned that the proposed changes have caused concern among executives from F1 teams and members of the World Motorsport Council. Meanwhile, several people within F1 have already reportedly indicated that the proposals are contrary to the transparency and credibility that the sport should display when it comes to moral or ethical issues.

The British Medium claims to have asked the FIA for a response, but it does not want to comment as yet. This is because, according to a spokesperson, it is not appropriate to comment on a proposal that is still under vote.
